FIRST DAY AT THE NEW HOME.......
Hi
Kathi. Well we had a great night. She did her last piddle outside at 11:00 PM and slept till 06:00 AM. So
she did very well. Had a good breakfast and went outside to the toilet. We leave the sunroom door open to the
house so she just trots out on her own. She is busy now "prancing" with various toys. She is trying
them all out. We love her so much already and want to thank you again for your lovely poodles and great puppy raising.
Will talk soon.

FIRST NIGHT..........
We had a great night, baby gold boy slept all night.
Wow, we expected to have a fussy night but that wasn't the case at all.
At 9:30 PM we put the crate in our room and he went in it immediately
(he'd been lounging in it prior to that downstairs), we left the room to brush our teeth and he started to cry but a few reassuring
words from the bathroom were enough to quiet him. We turned off the lights and went to bed with a couple more reassuring
words to him and he slept soundly until 05:45 this morning. He woke us with some quiet whining, Barry carried him to
the grass where he immediately went pee. He came back to bed and we all slept until 8am.
Morning started again with another short pee outside followed
by playing and more socialization with us. He had a good breakfast and then a big poop (again on the grass). He's
now fast asleep in his crate in the kitchen.
Funny story: he's been enjoying his new bone all morning, but once he was done with it he carried it to
the fence line and buried it under my fern! I'd have to say this is the first time I've seen a dog actually bury a bone.....LOL.
We assured him that his brothers wouldn't find it and retrieved it for later.
The potty training is coming along beautifully. I think that
is 50% "train the trainer" and 50% "train the dog" so we're having good success there. Barry and
I feel great about everything this morning, we definitely picked the right dog.
Thank you again for yesterday, your patience with us was really appreciated,
you guided us without influencing which ultimately solidified our commitment to this puppy and to our decision.
Dawson sends his puppy kisses,
Hugs

FROM
PENTICTON. . . . . . .
We
are three weeks into our adoption of Ziah (lavender collar girl). She has been a great little personality to bring into
our house. While she is full of mischief, she also loves to be cuddled and loved when it's a quiet time. Anyone
sho has met and held Ziah has a hard time letting go of her. She loves to be BUSY, and follows my husband and I from
room to room to always make sure she's involved in what's going on. She doesn't seem to miss her siblings as she now
has two adults to dote on her and craves one on one attention!
We acopted her because we have an older standard girl, who is 2 years old now, and desperately needed
a younger sib to bring out her fun, playful side, and to socialize with. Ziah has done that and more. They play
beautifully together, tire each other out, and sometimes snuggle together. When they're quiet and not sleeping, we know
we better go see what they're up to!
Amazingly,
we have had NO accidents inside the house! All pee and poop has happened outside on the grass!
She has been learning very well to sit (especially for little nubs
of raw carrots to chew on) and that it is not appropriate to put one's nose in someone else's dinner on the table, or chew
on random shoes, or dig holes in the back yard, or steal the other dog's food.
Ziah has learned to go on leash extremely well. She loves to go on walks and
be looked at by passing admirers. She struts just a little bit more when she knows she's being looked at.
We have managed to dremel her paws with a little fuss, and we will
attempt to shave her face soon, as we get her more familiar with the grooming process.
All in all, she's a part of the family that we didn't know how much we needed.
She's made all of us feel loved and she greatly entertains us with her antics, and we can never predict what she'll do next!
Thanks to Gracie and Jazz for producing such an amazing offspring.
Thank you Kathi for being a great breeder with these puppies and giving them a great start on life.
