KEEPING PUPPY SAFE !
1.
A FENCE IS NEEDED !!! Poodles, especially
teenage poodles, need to safely run off steam, be temporarily unsupervised while racing and leaping around. It's
an important part of the makeup of this special breed to have the place to 'let 'er rip'. For short periods of course.
Exercise also helps develop the hind end and promotes good tail carriage.
2.
A LEASH IS NEEDED !!! What is across the road might just be more interesting than what is on THIS side of the road!
We use soft collars for this sensitive breed.
3. FOOD !!! Puppies are on Innova
ADULT LARGE BITES - available in both Canada and the U.S. If you can't find it Kathi can get the first bag from a source
close to her home.
4. A CRATE IS NEEDED !!! We use wire crates - they ventilate
well. If warmth is needed a blanket can be put over the top. Crates help toilet train, keep puppy from wetting
on rugs overnight, keep them out of trouble when young and owner is not around. They are able to relax and sleep deeply
without 'standing guard' 24/7. Also useful for the time of neuter/spay
5. A DREMEL
IS NEEDED !!! Keeping nails short weekly can prevent foot deformities and injuries, and scratches on your hardwood
floors.
