Gracie came to us all the way from Gulfport, Missisippi, as an 11 month old puppy - courtesy of Dyan Bruneau (Dyneau Standard Poodles) May of 2004, just 3 months before Hurricane Katrina damaged her backyard, fence, outside runs and created holes in her roof. Unfortunately Gracie's sire (Dyneau's Tanner Suede Beige), dam (Dyneau's Sienna Cyan Blush), and famous red grand-sire (Mossberg's Crimson Pax-Maker) didn't survive the resulting bacterial infection from the water damage before help could arrive to restore the Mississippi landscape. Dyan bred the most wonderfully pretty red/apricot dog with an awesome temperament and has kindly allowed me to own her. Gracie is the most loving and easy house pet, a great Mom, generally a quiet co-operative dedicated dog. Gracie is known for yodelling a very loud Yoo Yoo Yo-oo-o-u greeting to me when I come in from the outside. And if you are blessed enough to own one of her puppies, then get yourself prepared.....she teaches them ALL the yodel! Gracie is petite, 21.5 inches tall, and very feminine with a wonderful orange/blonde coat color, jet back points and dark-colored skin. She trained me (Kathi) with great tolerance, patience and forgiveness in the art of raising/feeding/grooming,etc. a standard poodle. (p.s. I'm still learning !!) And Dyan has been and still is), a willing mentor for me too, especially in the area of color.
